CLAWSON, Mich. (WXYZ) — A Clawson High School student reportedly threatened to "blow up the school," police say.

On Oct. 17, officers were dispatched to the school to meet with the administrator about a possible threat.

It was reported that a student went home and told his mother that another student threatened to blow up the school on Friday.

Officers investigated and reached out to the student who supposedly made the threat, talking with him and his mother. Police say the student denied saying anything about blowing up the school.

As precautionary measures, Michigan State Police were called in with explosive detecting dogs to check the school and surrounding area. Nothing was detected.

Police determined the threat was not credible and classes were not cancelled. They continue to investigate.
