BERKLEY, Mich. (WXYZ) — Berkley police are investigating after a student was injured in a stabbing Tuesday afternoon.
According to police, the incident occurred around 2 p.m. Berkley Department of Public Safety responded to Anderson Middle School on a report of an injured student. The student had been allegedly stabbed by another student with a pair of scissors.
Authorities treated the injured student at the scene and later transported the student to a local hospital. The student is in stable condition.
The student who allegedly did the stabbing was taken into custody.
No further details have been released. Police are still investigating the incident.
