It was a cool and wet start to May across metro Detroit, but things are about to change!

We start warming up as early as this weekend. Saturday morning looks great for the Susan G. Komen Detroit Race for the Cure at Comerica Park with temperatures into the low 60s by the end of the event.

Afternoon temperatures will climb in the upper 60s both weekend days. Our average daytime high is now 68° for Detroit.

After a nice Mother's Day weekend, it gets even warmer next week.

A more northerly turn in the jet stream will push summer-like air our way.

High temperatures will rise into the 70s early in the week with a run for 80° by Wednesday.

This taste of summer will hold through the next weekend. FULL FORECAST HERE
