Summit Place Mall has another new owner who plans to breathe life into the Waterford Township property.
Southfield-based Ari-El Enterprises reportedly purchased the abandoned mall, and plans to have the 1.4 million square-foot building torn down by the end of 2020.
The demolition will cost about 3 million dollars.
Since 2009, when the mall closed, it has been through several owners. The new plan is expected to include mixed-use development.
