Could your tech habits be affecting your love life?

According to a recent survey released by Match.com, smartphones and social media usage could cause you to leave a bad impression when you're in the dating scene.

If you're a guy with a cracked smartphone, here's the bad news: women are 86 percent more likely to negatively judge a man for having a busted screen, according to Match.com's singles in America survey.

The online dating company collected the opinions of more than 5,000 singles over the course of 2016, and one of the categories looked at the turn-ons and turn-offs of smartphone behavior.

Some of the dos:

  • Actual phone calls aren't completely old fashioned, 29 percent of singles report that they are a definite plus
  • Keeping your phone out of sight on a date may also work in your favor, 45 percent of those surveyed said the discretion was a turn on.

Some of the dont's:

  • Posting to social media constantly
  • Airing your grievances on Facebook

Around half of those surveyed said those two behaviors aren't appealing, a bit more get annoyed with the Facebook complaints.

Phone compatibility is also a thing, apparently. The Match survey found that Android users are 15 times more likely to judge a person negatively if they have an iPhone.

But iPhone users are 21 times more likely to judge if the person has an Android, the survey found.
