(WXYZ) — A 29-year-old Warren resident has been arrested for allegedly carjacking an 81-year-old woman at Somerset Collection.
Troy police say it happened at approximately 9 a.m. Monday. The victim, in her 2017 Buick Regal on the north side of Somerset Collection, was approached by the carjacker, who demanded her vehicle.
Police say the carjacker pulled the victim out of her vehicle and drove off. He was arrested and the vehicle was located.
Although the victim was shaken up, police say no injuries were reported. The incident happened before the mall opened.
