PONTIAC, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is seeking the suspect in a homicide that occurred in Pontiac on March 23.

Investigators say 23-year-old Marquis Myles, of Pontiac, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died from his injuries.

The suspects in Myle's death were identified as Delorean Jones, 24, and Davonte Burkett, 28. Jones was arraigned on March 26 but Burkett is still at large, investigators say.

Both suspects are charged with murder, assault with intent to murder, possession of firearms by a felon, felony firearm - third of subsequent offense and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Both suspects are on parole from the Michigan Department of Corrections.

On March 23, just after midnight, deputies from the Pontiac substation arrived at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital on a report that a man was being treated for multiple gunshot wounds.

When deputies arrived, they spoke to a second man who was grazed by bullet fire. That victim, a 22-year-old man, told detectives that he was in the are of Osmun and Russell with the now-deceased victim to meet with two individuals. When the two individuals approached the victim's car, they opened the back doors and began shooting inside the vehicle. The 22-year-old victim, who was the driver at the time, left the area and drove to the hospital.

If you have information on this deadly shooting, or the whereabouts of Davonte Burkett, contact the Oakland County Sheriff's Office at 248-858-5000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak-Up.
