PORT HURON, Mich. (WXYZ) — Port Huron Police have removed a shelter in place directive in the 3100 block of Electric while continuing their search for a man wanted in an armed robbery Tuesday night.
On Oct. 8 around 7:25 p.m., St. Clair County Central Dispatch received a call of people arguing on Electric followed by shots fired. Port Huron officers responded to the scene and spoke to the 33-year-old and 35-year-old male victims who live in Detroit, police say.
They told police the armed suspect approached them, robbed them then ran off. According to police, a shot was fired into the air.
Officers had set up a perimeter around the area and began a K-9 track to search for the suspect. They issued a shelter in place directive on Facebook during the search.
Search crews were unable to locate the suspect and around 8:00 p.m. the perimeter and shelter in place directives were removed.
