SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Southfield Police Department has put out photos of a suspect wanted in connection to an armed robbery at a party store earlier this year.
According to police, it happened at the Oakland Party Store near 10 Mile and Evergreen around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 23.
We're told the suspect entered the store and demanded the employee put money in a bag or he would shoot.
The employee then dove behind the counter and that's when the suspect began to flee the store. While fleeing, the suspect fired a shot at the clerk. The suspect also fired a second shot toward the door, but the clerk was not injured.
The suspect is described as a black male, 20-30 years old, wearing a blue hoodie and dark jeans. The suspect has a tattoo on his right hand.
