TAYLOR, Mich. (WXYZ) — A family in Taylor is holding a vigil to pray for the safe return of their missing daughter.

Gloria Maria Alvarado has been missing since Sunday, Nov. 1.

Her mother, Tina, discovered her disappearance when she went to wake her up for school the next day. The bedroom window was open, the screen had been cut and Gloria’s cell phone had been left behind.

Taylor police are investigating the disappearance but her family believes someone has vital information and hopes they will come forward before the trail goes cold. Gloria is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 168 lbs. She may be wearing white and pink Air Jordan gym shoes.

Anyone who thinks they have information about her whereabouts is urged to call Det. Andrew Snavely at 734-287-6611 ext. 2007.

The vigil will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12 in James E. Boardman Park.
