A teen is being accused of writing racist graffiti in a Warren neighborhood. Police say there were nearly a handful of incidents before he was caught red-handed.
Warren resident John Marrone noticed hateful writing on his fence last week.
"I was shocked, I couldn't believe it," Marrone said.
Police say there were at least three other incidents with all properties tagged with swastikas and the numbers 1488.
Warren Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer said an officer spotted the teen Saturday, just after midnight. He was riding a bike and had black spray paint.
"The 16-year-old juvenile admitted that he had spray-painted the four different locations and he said, 'I just wanted to get a rise out of people,'" Dwyer said.
He is now being charged as a juvenile for malicious destruction of property.
