(WXYZ) — Michigan is on a mission to stop illnesses related to smoking.

The idea is to get smokers to quit.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is offering a free 8-week supply of nicotine patches, gum or lozenges this summer.

All you have to do is call the Michigan Tobacco Quitline at 800-QUIT-NOW. The free products will be available through September 30.
