Michigan is filled with small towns, and in those small towns are some of the best bars in the state that not many people know about.
Entertainment website Thrillist went out and found the best small town bar in every state, and one in Michigan is at the very tip of the state.
According to Thrillist, the best small town bar in Michigan is Fitzgerald's Restaurant, located in Eagle River.
Fitzgerald's sits on the Lake Superior coast in the Keweenaw Peninsula, and according to Thrillist, the Eagle River population is just 71.
"The Fitz serves up great BBQ to go along with the requisite whitefish, but despite its designation as a restaurant, it might also be the best place to drink with a view of a Great Lake period," they write.
According to the website, they have more than 100 beers available with also a "deep love of whiskey," offering more than 90 bottles.
