DETROIT (WXYZ) — An auto insurance town hall will be held in Detroit Thursday evening to answer commonly asked questions.

Recent changes to Michigan's auto no-fault law will become effective in July.

Topics in the town hall will include anticipated cost savings for policy holders, new options for coverage and the impact of the law on families, communities, medical providers and taxpayers, among others.

Attendees will be able to hear from a panel of experts and ask questions.

To date, Michigan has required drivers buy unlimited personal injury protection to cover them should they suffer a catastrophic injury. Under the new bill, drivers will be able to choose whether they want unlimited coverage or no coverage at all.

The town hall will be held at Bethany Christian Church from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
