(WXYZ) — The pattern continues to stay active and continues to impact the work week. This latest storm will have different layers to it. This first part of it will begin as snow and then transition to a wintry mix of ice and sleet. Eventually, the storm is expected to change over to all rain but this isn't going to occur until later in the day.

The Timing

The storm's timing will have to be ironed out since the storm is still coming together. It appears to be on the heels of the rush hour commute and lasting into the evening. More than likely, it'll produce a slushy mess on the roads making the commute ugly and slow. Roughly 2 to 3 inches of snow is the early call before the storm switches to a mix. As usual, Action News will keep you up to date as we get closer and fine tune the forecast.
