R&B singer Trey Songz will be back in metro Detroit tonight for the first time since being arrested at the Joe Louis Arena back in December.

Songz, whose real name is Tremaine Neverson, will take center stage at the Royal Oak Theatre to promote his latest album.

The 32-year-old was arrested in Detroit after having a meltdown on stage when his mic was cut off because his performance was going too long. He threw speakers, pulled down plexiglass and allegedly punched a police sergeant who went on stage to calm him down.

Songz was charged with assaulting, resisting and obstructing a police officer.

If convicted, he faces prison time and/or fines.
