(WXYZ) - The race for the 2013 All Star Game Vote is coming down to the wire, and the final hours of voting will see
Twitter transformed into a virtual ballot.
Right now, Tigers relief pitcher Joaquin Benoit is a one of five players on the Final Vote ballot with a chance to join the American League All Stars, but Benoit will need your help to get there.
Polls will stay open until 4:00 p.m. today, and you'll have two ways to cast your ballot(s).
Fans can choose to vote the traditional way using Major League Baseball's
official website, or they can opt for a new social media twist and vote via Twitter.
Cast your ballot for Tigers reliever Joaquin Benoit by simply tweeting a message and including the hashtag
#backbenoit. Twitter voting does not open until 10 a.m.
The Tigers star is up against some tough competition including Yankees pitcher David Robertson, Boston's Koji Uehara, Texas' Tanner Scheppers, as well as Toronto reliever Steve Delabar.
