Two 14-year-old girls are being held in the Washtenaw County Juvenile Detention Center after allegedly attacking and carjacking a pizza delivery driver.

Washtenaw County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene on the 900 block of Davis Street in Ypsilanti Township on October 27.

The 45-year-old Happy's Pizza delivery driver told police he had been assaulted by the suspects with black metal objects. The driver was reportedly struck multiple times in the face and head.

The suspects stole the victim's vehicle and cash. They took off from the scene, but the vehicle was located with two 14-year-old females were apprehended.

The driver suffered non-life threatening injuries. Authorities say cash and the vehicle were recovered from the 14-year-old girls.

An investigation is still underway.
