According to a spokesperson for the university, the meeting takes place at 7 p.m. at the Anderson Room on the first floor of the Michigan Union.

The public will be allowed to speak but have to sign up in advance at the link here.

Last month, the National Policy Institute requested speaking space for Spencer, and a spokesperson said the university would "carefully review the request."

Earlier this year, Michigan State University denied the institute's request for Spencer.

Spencer spoke at the University of Florida in October, and he was part of the white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Va. in August that left one person dead.

The National Policy Institute and Spencer are credited with creating the "alternative right," also known as the alt-right movement.
