DETROIT (WXYZ) — The U.S. Coast Guard based in Detroit tells 7 Action News a ship crashed into a dock in downtown Detroit overnight.
According to the coast guard, it happened after 3:30 a.m. at a dock near Atwater St.
The department said the "Valara VI" ship crashed into the dock, but thankfully, there were no injuries.
Detroit police are taking the report on the crash, and they were able to board to ship.
It's not clear the extent of damage to either the ship or the dock.
According to the website, the cruise is based in Chicago, but it's not clear why they were in Detroit.
