The union representing Canadian autoworkers, Unifor, posted a message on social media that it had reached a tentative agreement with Ford early Tuesday morning.

According to the tweet, the deal was unanimously recommended by all bargaining committees.

Unifor and Ford leaders have been negotiating for about two weeks. The union set an 11:59 p.m. deadline Monday to reach a deal. A bargain was struck shortly after midnight, averting a strike.

Unifor members have already ratified new contracts with General Motors and Fiat Chrysler.
