The mall has gone to the dogs! You will find unique dog houses at Partridge Creek Mall.

Just like different dogs you'll see at the mall, the dog houses come in different shapes and sizes.

Vito Terracciano is the CEO of Arterra Realty.

"We would auction it off and the money we would raise from the dog houses would go to benefit Children's Hospital," he said.

The Arterra Realty company came up with the idea.

The five dog houses will be auctioned off at the preview opening event for Homearama, held late September.

The money raised would specifically be used for pediatric cancer awareness.

And the dog houses aren't just cool looking - they're functional.

"It was a lot of fun, something unique and different so of courses it was a lot of fun and it's for a great cause," said Ryan Morici, who created the five dog houses.

One house is for the Red Wings fan. Another house has a pergola. One is a modern styled home. One is called the shack and there is a dog house with plant material on top of the roof.

The dog houses retail for a couple of thousand dollars, but they're hoping to raise more than that.

Vito added, "For the charity event the ticket prices, the proceeds from that event will go to children's hospital along with the dog houses."

The charity preview event will be held September 21st.
