(WXYZ) — The COVID-19 coronavirus is taking center stage in tonight's 7 UpFront interview.

We're being joined by Michigan's Chief Medical Executive Dr. Joneigh Khaldun to discuss the latest developments in our state.

You can see the full interview in the video player above.

"I'm certainly very concerned about the trajectory of our cases, with our case counts, our hospitalizations, and our deaths, which are increasing," Khaldun says. "That said, I'm also pleased with seeing our vaccinations going up. We have over 66% of adults over the age of 16 who have at least one dose of a vaccine. So we will continue, we have been in communities promoting vaccines, but also, importantly, supporting our schools with testing and supporting our local health officers as well."
