A valet attendant was carjacked Saturday evening outside a popular Detroit restaurant, police said.
It happened at about 8 p.m. in the alley behind La Dolce Vita near Woodward and McNichols.
Police said the suspect sped off with a customer's vehicle and led Detroit police on a chase. The suspect crashed near Hamilton and Pasadena.
He was arrested after a short foot chase, police added.
Witnesses said the vehicle appeared to be smoking after the crash.
