(WXYZ) — Vice President Mike Pence will keynote the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference this weekend.
The event is hosted at the historic Grand Hotel and brings together conservative leaders from across the country.
Pence will be the first ever sitting Vice President to attend the conference.
“It is a tremendous honor that Vice President Mike Pence chose to attend this year’s Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference, and it shows the Trump administration’s commitment to our state.” said Laura Cox, Michigan Republican Party Chairman, in a news release. Cox continued, “Michiganders are thankful for President Trump’s ‘America First’ agenda and the prosperity it has brought back to our state. Michigan Republicans look forward to hosting the Vice President and hearing the administration’s vision for the future of our nation.”
