Violent crime spree on Detroit's west side, search underway for 2 suspects and red Dodge Durango

Detroit Police are searching for a late model red Dodge Durango and two teenage suspects after a violent robbery spree on the city's west side overnight.

Three separate incidents have been reported.

The first incident took place on August 18 at 3:20 a.m. near Fenkell Avenue and Ohio Street. Two suspects in the red Dodge pulled up next to a 38-year-old man. Someone from inside the vehicle began firing at the man. He suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound. 

The second incident took place on August 18 at 3:50 a.m. on Puritan and Greenfield. The 33-year-old victim was riding his bike on Greenfield when a red Dodge Durango side-swiped him. A suspect got out of the vehicle and demanded the man's book-bag, other items and cash at gunpoint.

The third incident happened at 5:30 a.m. on August 18 near Vassar Drive and Burt Road. A 50-year-old victim was riding his vehicle when he was struck the Durango. Two suspects got out of the vehicle and robbed him at gunpoint.

The thieves got away with his cell phone, wallet and house keys. They also took the blue bike.
