WARREN, Mich. (WXYZ) — A Warren man is facing charges after allegedly breaking into the Detroit police horse barn.
Police say 52-year-old Archie Howell was caught by an officer early Thursday morning and the mounted police unit building on Detroit's west side.
Police say that he allegedly stretched a chain on a gate to squeeze through and had opened a window to get into the building.
An officer spotted Howell, and although he resisted arrest, he was taken into custody.
He has been charged with Breaking and Entering a Building and Resisting and Obstructing a Police Officer.
Police say another man who was acting as a look-out fled the scene and has not been found.
