A Warren man accused of strangling his wife and burying the body 220 miles away was sentenced to life in prison without the eligibility of parole on Thursday after being convicted of first-degree murder.
Macomb County prosecutors argued that Loyd Dejohn killed Kimberly Dejohn because he was in a relationship with a cousin about half his age.
The body of the 51-year-old was found a few weeks later in Cheboygan County in 2014.
