Whitmer updates on state's response to COVID-19 outbreak, confirms 12 new cases

(WXYZ) — Gov. Gretchen Whitmer gave an update to the state's response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak Sunday evening. The governor was joined by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Chief Medical Executive Dr. Joneigh Khaldun, where they announced 12 additional confirmed cases, bringing the state total to 45.

This update comes just a few hours after Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced measures to address crowd control due to the virus, and Gov. Whitmer's signed executive order to reign in price gouging by businesses.
