(WXYZ) — Lori Marie Key is a Livonia COVID nurse who went viral after singing "Amazing Grace"during her shift at St. Mary Mercy Livonia in the spring of 2020.
Key was invited to perform at a coronavirus national memorial in Washington D.C. on Tuesday evening. There were 400 lights around the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool to honor American lives lost. Key said it was an honor to sing and pay tribute to the people we lost to this deadly virus.
“When I’m at work, I sing," Key said just before her performance. "It gives me strength during difficult times and I believe it helps heal.”
