Flint’s water is still not safe to drink and use for cooking, and now experts are concerned that Hollywood is turning Flint into a real life horror story.

We continue to hear stories from people in Flint that they can’t shower and bathe in their tap water because they get rashes and other health problems.

A Hollywood actor is seizing on that and the experts say, the story he’s telling should not be believed.

The website flintwaterstudy.org was set up by Virginia Tech, where the first experts found high lead levels in Flint water more than a year ago.

Their target is actor Mark Ruffalo, who came to flint and told residents they can take water testing into their own hands by using a sponge called a Water Bug.

But another expert says it can give false positives and is not accurate.

Federal emergency aid is set to expire in August.  But the water will still not be safe.

People in Flint have been told to run their water for 5 to 10 minutes a day to flush the lines and help recoat the lead pipes.

That is helping, but the experts say all the lead services lines need to be replaced and that will take years, and millions of dollars.
