The Waterford Police Department has sworn in their second K-9 officer Monday.

Cooper is a yellow lab donated to the department thanks to the K9's in Honor of Badge 128 and the Thomas Richards Charity, an organization founded in honor of slain Wayne State University K-9 officer Collin Rose.

The department also swore in his handler Officer Josh Adams.

Waterford reactivated their K-9 program in December 2017.

The cost to train Cooper and Officer Adams is funded with donated funds and drug forfeiture.
