Wayne County prosecutor files appeal after charges dropped against ex-Hamtramck school liaison accused of sexual assault

WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office submitted an appeal Thursday in the Ibrahim Aljahim case, according to court documents. In November, all charges of alleged sexual assault were dropped against the ex-Hamtramck school liaison.

On Nov. 21, 2019, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy announced all charges against Aljahim, a former Hamtramck community liaison officer at the Oakwood International Academy, were dismissed.

Aljahim was accused of first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving an 18-year-old special needs student.

Judge Alexis G. Krot of the 31st District Court, dismissed all charges against Aljahim Thursday at the conclusion of his preliminary hearing examination.
