(WXYZ) — The American Dream has come true for so many hard-working people in our community, but now the fear of losing everything they’ve earned has become the harsh reality for many.

However, in today’s We’re Open Andrea Isom tells us about a company that came up when an idea o how we can all step in and help, all in the hope of keeping the restaurants open for business.

Great Lakes Hotel Supply in Southfield has been so happy to help countless establishments take their first steps toward success. But now a lot of those restaurants are in trouble. They wanted to do something.

The owner, Mark Israel, came up with an idea. Together they created a GoFundMe fundraising campaign called ‘Local Love’. The goal is to raise $500 thousand by March 1st, 2021. It would make a huge difference in so many lives.

Please give what you can! The restaurant industry can’t wait. They need all of us now! https://www.glhsco.com/locallove/
