NEW RICHMOND, Wis. (WXYZ) — A man wanted for an alleged homicide in Detroit was arrest in New Richmond, Wisconsin Wednesday after having a medical situation, police say.
New Richmond police responded to a location at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, on a report of a "potential medical type situation."
When officers arrived, Darius Calhoun, 26, was in need of medical attention. While officers and EMS technicians were giving aid, officers learned that Calhoun was wanted out of Detroit, Michigan for an alleged homicide that happened in late September.
Calhoun allegedly stabbed a woman to death as EMS attempted to revive a 50-year-old man having a medical emergency in another room of the same home.

It's unclear how the officers uncovered this information.
Calhoun was then taken into custody and transported to St. Croix County Jail in Wisconsin. He's now being held for potential extradition to Michigan.
Police say Calhoun was believed to have been in the New Richmond area for at least two days before his arrest. Police are now asking for the public's help with information on how Calhoun arrived in New Richmond and where he was staying.
