(WXYZ) — Royal Oak police said a woman was arrested for allegedly chasing and damaging the vehicle of her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend.

According to police, the victim told them the suspect was her ex-boyfriend's girlfriend and she followed her into her parking lot. Police say the victim was confronted by the suspect, who then struck her window several times and broke the glass on the driver's side door.

The victim then said she got out of the car on the passenger side and ran through the parking lot while the suspect chased her. Residents called 911 after hearing screaming and what sounded like a gunshot. That sound was actually the glass breaking.

According to police, the victim confirmed there was no firearm, and the suspect fled the scene with her boyfriend. They were later pulled over by police in Berkley, and a firearm
was found under the driver's seat along with a fake temporary plate.

The suspect, 26-year-old Detroit Tanysha Denise Resse from Detroit, was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, malicious destruction of property, assault and battery and improper plate.
