DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating after a woman was carjacked while she was looking inside her trunk.
The car theft happened Sunday at 5 a.m. in the 14000 block of Prest.
A 31-year-old woman says three male suspects pulled up to her as she was looking in her trunk. Two of the men were armed when they approached her and demanded her vehicle, a 2015 black Chrysler 200 with license plate DCJ-9816.
The woman complied, police say, then the two suspects fled southbound on Prest in the victim's vehicle. The third suspect was driving a gray vehicle. No make or model of that vehicle was provided.
The suspects are described as three black men. One suspect was wearing a black hoodie and gray pants. The second suspect was wearing all black clothing, and there is no physical description of the third suspect, who was driving the nondescript vehicle.
