Woman carjacked Sunday morning at gas station in Detroit

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating a carjacking that happened in the 20200 block of James Couzens Sunday morning.

A preliminary investigation states that around 7 a.m. a 62-year-old woman was at a gas station at that location when a man approached her demanding her red 2014 Buick Regal. The woman complied and the suspect fled in her vehicle heading southbound on Greenfield.

The suspect, who was armed, is described between the ages of 20 and 25, thin build and was wearing a red and blue jacket with white gym shoes.
