HILLSADALE COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Hillsdale County Sheriff's Office are searching the suspect involved in an attempted abduction Friday afternoon.

Around 4 p.m., Deputies responded to a report of an attempted abduction in the area of Blackbridge Road and Hudson Road. The 24-year-old female victim was walking home from Davis' Gas Station and Dollar General when a white man jumped out of a truck and tried to pull her into the vehicle, police say.

The woman told deputies the same truck slowly drove by her at least three times while she was walking. She said the man hit her in the face saying "it will be easy to get into the truck." Luckily, the woman was able to fight off the attacker and escape into her residence, police say.

The Sherriff's Office released this suspect description:

The suspect was described as a white male approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 300-400 pounds, balding with extremely short hair on the sides of his head. The victim also indicated that he had a large nose. The victim stated that he had several missing teeth and what he did have was broken, discolored and in poor condition. He was wearing a black track suit with no logos and tattered older Nike basketball shoes that are falling apart. The suspect may also have fresh wounds on his face and neck received during this incident.

Deputies describe the vehicle as possibly a Dodge 1980s or 1990s pickup truck, two-door, short box and dark blue in color. The truck is "extremely rusted" and has a confederate flag sticker covering the entire rear window. It also has out-of-state license plates and was last seen southbound on Pioneer Road toward Ohio.
