DETROIT (WXYZ) — A woman was rescued from a fire at what crews are calling a hoarder house on Detroit's west side Wednesday.

The fire was at a residence at Woodstock Drive and Litchfield.

Firefighters say they had to climb over a mountain of trash to rescue a woman trapped in a fire. When crews got there, they found garbage piled high in every room, making the rescue almost impossible.

They finally got her out and performed CPR to save her.

Her current condition is unknown.
