Woman stabbed to death as medics administer CPR to injured man

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating after a woman in her 20s was stabbed to death by a suspect as emergency medical technicians administered CPR to an injured man in another room.

According to a preliminary investigation, the incident occurred Sept. 21 at 11:35 p.m. in the 80 block of Arizona in Detroit.

Police say a medic arrived at the location on a report of a deceased and unresponsive man in his 50s. The medics attempted to administer CPR on the man, and while that was happening a male suspect in his late 20s allegedly took a woman into a bedroom at the location and stabbed her.

The suspect then fled the location on foot.

Police say the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators add that the relationship between the victims is unknown at this time.

The suspect is described as a black man in his late 20s. He's 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 250 pounds and has a medium-brown complexion.
