Wu-Tang Clan announces metro Detroit date for '36 Chambers' anniversary tour

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (WXYZ) — In November 1993, Wu-Tang Clan jumped on the scene with their debut album "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)," and 25 years later they're still recognized as one of the most iconic rap groups in hip-hop culture.

On Friday, May 31 at 7:30 p.m., Wu-Tang Clan will be making a stop at the Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill in Sterling Heights for their "36 Chambers 25th Anniversary Celebration Tour." The concert is part of the Fifth Third Bank Concert Series.

Wu-Tang Clan's debut album featured songs like "C.R.E.A.M." and "Protect Ya Neck."

Group members include: Method Man, RZA, Ghostface Killah, GZA, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, Cappadonna, U-God, Masta Killa, and the late Ol'Dirty Bastard (ODB), who passed away in 2004.

Wu-Tang Clan recently premiered at Sundance their upcoming Showtime documentary, "Wu-Tang: Clan of Mics & Men."

The nine-member hip-hop group has released seven gold and platinum studio albums, with worldwide sales of more than 40 million albums.
