WYANDOTTE (WXYZ) — Long-serving mayor of the city of Wyandotte has died, the city confirmed Sunday.
Joe Peterson served for many years in numerous capacities, the city said in a Facebook post.
"His love for Wyandotte was undeniable," the city said.
Peterson leaves behind his wife Janice, sons and grandchildren.
No further details were immediately available regarding Peterson's death.
