(WXYZ) — This is the time of year holiday decorations are going up inside and outside homes in just about every community in the area.

If you’re a fan of dazzling holiday decorations and over the top trees, we have you covered. Here are the best holiday decorations in metro Detroit and a community gem in our Thursday’s Top 7.

#7 HOLIDAY NIGHTS IN GREENFIELD VILLAGE (DEARBORN)
We’re starting our top 7 at Holiday Nights in Greenfield Village where you can take in the sights of the holiday with sleigh bells and fiddlers and listen to carolers. Lantern lights glow as you stroll the 80 acres of American history. Check out Santa and his reindeer too!

#6 WILD LIGHTS - DETROIT ZOO (ROYAL OAK)
Want more animals? Try Wild Lights at the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak. It’s 6th on our list. In addition to the live animals, you’ll be dazzled by more than 280 sculptures and more than 5 million LED lights. You’ll also find special holiday entertainment too!

#5 WAYNE COUNTY LIGHTFEST (WESTLAND)
The 5th spot takes us to Westland and the Wayne County Lightfest. This show features more than 5 miles of color displays through Hines Park. It’s billed as the largest holiday light show in the Midwest. At the end of the drop, kids can visit Santa's Workshop for a picture with old St. Nick.

#4 DOWNTOWN WYANDOTTE
It’s the holiday’s with a small town feel in downtown Wyandotte. Highlights here include a tree tops with the head of a snow man, a corridor of trees wrapped in lights, and wood-carved bears all decked out with holiday cheer. It’s 4th in our viewer poll.

#3 CAMPUS MARTIUS (DETROIT)
Campus Martius comes in 3rd. It is the display in Detroit. The six-story Norway Spruce may be the center of attention, but the skating rink sees plenty of action. And the Winter Market is a great place to pick up unique holiday gifts.

#2 THE BIG BRIGHT LIGHT SHOW (ROCHESTER)
Our runner-up is Rochester’s Big Bright Light Show. And with more than 1 million lights adorning the building along Main Street, this display lives up to it’s name! You can duck inside shops while you take in the lights or check out the open air Kris Kringle Market this Friday and Saturday.

#1 LINCOLN PARK FANTASYLAND
The top spot goes to Lincoln Park Fantasyland! This interactive walk-through display is a true community gem. Little ones have been dazzled by this experience since 1964. Check out Santa’s reindeer and the Jolly Old Elf himself upstairs is a can’t-miss: the animatronic workshops toys being made and sweets being spun.

Lincoln Park Fantasyland is put on by the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce and only costs a $1 to get in. Pictures with Santa are only $3 for one picture and $5 for two. A portion of that money goes to support non-profits in the community.
