The No. 9 Michigan State Spartans are looking to advance in the 2017 NCAA Tournament with a win over No. 8 Miami (Fla.) on Friday night, but there could be some issues that hamper the ability for the Spartans to have success.

Chris Solari, who covers Michigan State for the Detroit Free Press, joined Justin Rose on Sports Buzz Live Friday morning to talk about where Michigan State could have problems.
According to Solari, the Hurricanes have three veterans on their team: Ja'Quan Newton, Davon Reed and Kamari Murphy, who are veteran producers. That's something Michigan State lacks, according to Solari.
"They have Tum Tum Nairn as a junior point guard, Alvin Ellis and that's about it," he said. "Neither of those guys have produced constantly."
Nairn is averaging 3.7 points and 3.7 assists per game on an average of 23.2 minutes per game. Ellis averages 5.6 points per game and 1.2 assists on an average of 19.1 minutes per game.
For Miami, Newton is averaging 13.4 points per game and 3.4 assists, Reed has 15 points per game and 2.5 assists and Murphy averages 7.2 points and .5 assists.
"Miami has veterans who are producing. Michigan State has freshman who have to carry over 50 percent of the scoring load and nearly 50 percent of the rebounding load," Solari added.
