YOUR TWEETS: Metro Detroit grocery stores sell out ahead of winter storm

(WXYZ) - Metro Detroit is getting hit hard, and not just with snow.

It looks like a flurry of shoppers preparing for the winter storm have cleaned out several area grocery stores.

According to your photos and tweets, stores like Meijer, Kroger and Trader Joes can't stock the shelves fast enough with staples like bread and milk.

The photos featuring lone bananas on display and empty dairy aisles look a little post-apocalpytic. We can't even imagine how the staff at these stores are feeling!
