Student attending Lincoln High School in Ypsilanti allegedly attacked on school bus

YPSILANTI, Mich. (WXYZ) — A parent of a student at Lincoln High School in Ypsilanti is telling 7 Action News his son was the victim of a violent attack last week on his way to school.

The parent says his son was punched by another student, and his injuries left him unconscious and hospitalized.

Furthermore, the parent says the bus driver continued riding around without immediately contacting police. The Superintendent for the district disputes that claim, and tells us that law enforcement was promptly notified.

The parent of the student has hired an attorney in the meantime and is speaking out at a 5 p.m. press conference. He’s alleging bullying is a larger problem at the school. So far, the district is not telling us what type of discipline will be issued against the student or students responsible.
