BROOKLYN, Mich. (AP) -- Roger Curtis is leaving his position as president of Michigan International Speedway.

There was no replacement announced Tuesday. Joie Chitwood, chief operating officer of the International Speedway Corporation, will oversee operations at MIS in the interim.

Chitwood thanked Curtis in a statement for his service at MIS and wished him future success. Last weekend, MIS hosted the second of its two NASCAR weekends this year.
