The Chad Tough Foundation has grown more and more with each fundraising event they put together, but Saturday's inaugural event, 'Champions for Change,' was it's biggest yet.

With the support of Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh and his wife, Sarah, the event raised over one million dollars for Chad Tough and DIPG research.

DIPG is an fatal pediatric brain cancer that so far, has a zero-percent survival rate.

Tammi Carr's son, Chad, grandson of former Michigan coach Lloyd Carr, died from the disease in 2015.

"Half of the proceeds from tonight will go to DIPG research nation wide and the other half will go toward building a brain tumor center at Michigan," Carr said.

Jim and Sarah Harbaugh have been close to the Carr family since they arrived in Ann Arbor in late 2014.

"We want to ensure that no child or family has to go through this," Sarah said.
