(WXYZ) -- Over the first five weeks of the college football season, Eastern Michigan University has received attention for happenings both on and off the field.

Saturday's 28-25 win over Bowling Green gave the Eagles a 4-1 record and their first three-game win streak since 1994. The four wins in 2016 surpass the combined win total of Chris Creighton's first two seasons as head coach.

In September, EMU was in the national spotlight following an incident involving racist graffiti on campus, culminating with a student-led protest at Rynearson Stadium on September 23. CBS Sports Network aired the full demonstration (which did not interfere with the Wyoming-EMU game itself) live to a national audience.

On Sunday, Creighton and EMU athletic director Heather Lyke stopped by Broadcast House to discuss both topics.
